Hi hope someone can help i have an ex army 110 na 2.5 it just failed mot on front driver side indicator not working (ahhhhh) it is driving me nuts
I managed to removed the bulb and that is OK checked with multi meter and battery to be sure it was working

Cad lean here I have managed to insure and MOT my ex army 110 and have received a V55 form to apply for an age related number plate, (I also have Merlin records and letter from MOD for proof of age) so my questions are

Thanks for help I will clean out the breather on my next oil change, she came direct from the army so I am guessing the breather is a army design?
I will unbolt the generator and sell on as suggested

Hi all
Well the good news my 110 now has an MOT, but I have two questions?
1) please see attached pictures does anyone know what this is and if it needs any form of oil or maintenance (oil pot?)
2) I have the cyclone type breather setup up how do I clean it / maintain in?

Thanks for the help yes that is my quick fix but I want to put it back as it was when left the factory, even though I tested the relay would it be worth try a new one before I start running new cable to the starter relay I assume this is the big green one nearest driver

first off thanks to everyone for the advice you have saved me buying a new starter (on my budget that is a big saving)
so up date i checked the white wire with the red stripe going from the spade terminal on the solenoid to a rubber multi plug was ok using a meter then i pulled the spade...

guys thanks for all the advice, working this week so will crack on Friday with suggestions. I will try the 12 volt new supply first and check i have 12 volts, at terminal i checked the relay with a maplin relay tester ( the green relay nearest driver)

Update
I worked out how to short the solenoid (I think think the right method?) I shorted the red mains post on the solenoid with the small spade terminal, the starter worked and she started up much to my relief as it has been several weeks. (I had the ignition switch in the run position)
