    Barrel connectors

I have some circuit cleaner solvent spray that I was going to try, but because of the shape and design of the barrel connectors I couldn't really see how it could be a bad connection, but maybe it is !

    Auto box won't change up

Where would I find the barrel connectors ? I did go through some fairly deep stuff recently. The problem I have seems to be intermittent, I had it yesterday, but did 60 odd miles today and no sign of it. Barney

    Auto box won't change up

My auto TD4 has developed an alarming habit of not changing up north of third. If you slow right down so that it goes back to first it will sometimes clear. But sometimes you need to stop and shut it down for a minute, then it is ok. Any clues ? PS the box fluid got changed a couple of months...

    Fuel filter TD4

Thanks for the quick feedback gentlemen, much appreciated. Mine has done 70k it runs very sweet, however on two occasions, weeks apart, it cut out after moving 20 yards. It started up immediately, but it had the feel of some kind of fuel supply issue, so I,m in a process of elimination. I...

    Torque settings

Now that's what I call a nugget. You won't find that in a Haynes. Thanks Nodge, now I,m ready to get touchy, but with a light application of barrier cream first. Barney

    Torque settings

I don't want to start a big debate on it, but I have read the sentiment that I am currently expressing, being made by other contributors and seekers of information via this forum. I have had several idiosyncratic vehicles and have benefitted massively from enthusiast forums, from members who...

Wow Haynes manual .... Now why didn't I think of that ..... No need to be on a forum if you have a Haynes manual eh !!! Lol you get this kind of response everytime you ask a question here. Doesn't happen elsewhere. Fortunately there are more generous and helpful members like Hippo on here. Barney

    Torque settings

I'm about to tackle the advisories on my MOT. Consisting of discs and pads, near side TRE, both ARB drop links. Anyone know where I can get some torque settings. I'm trying to break my lifetime habit of tightening as far as I can then adding a bit. Barney

HDC flashing amber and restricted to 4th

Wow these things are complex !!! Looks like the last one is favourite, but it is it a fault or a sporadic condition that the ecu is throwing up a protection for and if it is what caused the condition. Barney
