Check all fuel lines for any sign of leakage especially at the tank end .

Had same prob replaced bulb with no difference ended up replacing the relay .

Biolandy and Shocker are most probably correct as had exact same problem with my 200tdi disco and it was the diode pack , you can either replace the diodes if you is familiar with electronics as the diodes have a +ve & -ve end to them , buy the diode pack complete or buy a new alternator .

Better to go to Mothercare or Halfords or somewhere similar and get them to try some seats to see which ones fit properly before you buy .

You say alternator fine , how was it tested ? Reason for asking is that I had same problem and it turned out to be a fault with a diode in the rectifier circuit of the alternator .

Sounds like you got a blockage in the return pipe to the tank .

Had same problem with my Disco , it turned out to be a loose pipe at the top of the tank , perhaps worth a try .

Have you checked the fuses in the fuse box in the engine compartment ?

I would check out the swivel bearings .

Better try your local scrappy as I have only found the whole spil pipe assembly although it ain't too pricey for a new one .

Got same problem had a look and it is worn cv's , if checking be prepared to get covered in nice sticky smelly filthy oil COOOOOOOL !!!!! :bounce:

Could be fuel shut off solenoid gone tits up .

Check the pads ain't sticking .

I had a siezed UJ and it squeeked when at low speeds , only found out it was siezed after removing prop shaft .

If it is choked up yup it will cause less mpg , what model disco is it you got ?
