    Many thanks Rich - One question: just how accessible is the area - eg are there plenty of tracks & trails and are they normally passable without risk? I know that in central Italy trails are easy and accessible but you get strange looks ..... Cheers, Alan

    Lenny - grazie, There's a fair amont of grease around but poss. not in exactly the right places. I suspect the dried-up gunge may be part of the problem, in some of the less accessible places eg on the drive gear!? But I guess wear/adjustment is a possibility - Mr Haynes doesn't help much...

    300TDi Electric Sunroof sticking - advice pls

    Folks ... I have a 95 300TDi ES - electric everything .. most bits work OK, But... The front and (especially) rear sunroofs periodically stick part-way before they pop up, and may not complete the opening cycle. The sticking point seems to be due to them not lifting high enough as they slide...

    Oh, for me it's partly having a stuffy old office job; partly over-exposure to mind-bending radiation from shortwave transmitters; partly, I just gave up conforming. Or it could be something the missus is putting in the gravy ...... As usual, I think I'll blame the missus.

    .... I used to carry Deutschmarks, Swiss Francs and US Dollars in the distant past - and a supply of Marlboroughs or new blue-jeans for bartering in communist countries, etc (1970s era). Not sure what sort of barter goods would be acceptable nowadays in Denmark or Scotland ....
