Morning folks :).

Home safe, Left the villa at 07:15 after a ferry taxi to mainland started for real at 11:15am in the front door at 11:00pm, 1000km with 1 fuel stop. Nice to be in our own bed again:). But a really nice break:).
That Range rover eats miles for breakfast, Dinner and tea with no complaining, love it:)

The toll motorway in Greece is fab we travelled almost all of it except maybe 2 toll sections. well worth the 15euros total. On 1 section it was free cos they were doing roadworks for a small section.

Even though the grass was told not to grow while we were away it didn't listen, so guess what's first on the list to do:rolleyes:.

Now to get back to the grind, but we may take today off. Like they always say you need a holibob to get over the holibob;).

Finished 1 wall unit, had to take it back off the wall to fit the side panels, cornice & pelmet. Getting it back on with the
extra weight well there was a few carefully chosen words. :p
Know how you feel, mate, they is flippin heavy. I really remember hanging corner wall cabinets. Not only heavy but fiddly to get on all the hook things. On my own as I was cos it was over here. :(:(
Hard for me to see why you had to take it off to fit that lot, but that is just because I'm not standing next to you and seeing why.
You'll have had your reasons. ;)

I discovered that my car insurer wants to more or less double the price for my Land Rover insurance. So I've taken my custom elsewhere. It's still more expensive than it was about three years ago, but rather closer to what I'm accustomed to paying. Without trying to boast, I'm pretty much the model motorist - no accidents, no points on my licence, no driving awareness courses, yet they still seem to want loads of money off me. I shudder to think what would happen if I was the sort of person who had accidents all the time or regularly got fined for speeding like several of my acquaintances.

Re replying to this as have only just noticed you said "one" wall unit.
Still trying to unnerstand why you had to fit the fiddly bits on then put it back up.
Specially as you often have to scribe the side panel to the wall anyway.
AHA!
Are you avoiding having screwheads showing inside the cabinets?
Now that would make sense!
You glutton for punishment you!
In the past I have either screwed them on from inside the cupboad, or in the case of modern rectangular section cornice and pelmet, stuck them on wiv a strong version of "No-Nails".

Member of the Odger family here, me being Brian Odger!!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

I do wonder why people never bring stuff back, I had a mate the other day desperate for a trailer board I was very reluctant
but its in my nature to be kind. Yer yer I'll bring it straight back now that was 4 days ago.
They must be dumb as flip cos it it were me they'd nevr borrer anything of mine ever again.
When I borrers summat I always check when they want it back then return it clean, serviced, if nec, and on or before time!
You never know when you might want to borrer it again.;)

Having an easy day today as we have been very busy last week and over the weekend.
Dins went well yessdi, managed aperos outside but too chilly to eat.

We have noticed that the dog's pongy breath, which she has had for over a year, has now disappeared!!!
It would seem it was infected sore areas in folds of skin, under each of the lips at the two sides of her lower jaw, which you would think all of the three Frog vets and the one Brit vet would have noticed. Not easily visible admittedly but I'd seen at least one and I am sure pointed it out to at least one vet.

So, mouth-yes, breath- not at all.

So after about €600 spent and three anaesthetics??????

I pointed them out to another of them last week and she told us just to treat them with iodine solution. which cost about €2!!!
Feel a bit guilty TBH but then she doesn't seem to have suffered more form them and they didn't get worse.

She's back in tomoz to have her teeth looked at again, descaled and prolly a few dodgy ones removed.
Have a good one folks!:):):)
