Thanks for the response.Unless it has absolutely impeccable service history and many thousands of £ in receipts, it's best avoided.
Gravesend is best avoided too, or anywhere else in that general area, come to that. Thanks for the response.
I'll pass it on.
I'll pass that on as well! not that it'll make much diff to my Frog friend!Gravesend is best avoided too, or anywhere else in that general area, come to that.
I worked there years ago, bet it has not got any better since then!Gravesend is best avoided too, or anywhere else in that general area, come to that.

Don't they sell engines in France, then?Trouble is he is my nextdoor neighbour in the Tarn in France. so his seeing it run really isn't an option.
the ad says "tested" etc.
But at the end of the day he would be buying it over the internet so the risks are fairly obvious. TBH I don't really know what he expected me to do. I did discover that they have a branch in Frogland so I gave him their number and left him to it.
I'd be wary of the engine solely knowing about the bust cranks issue.
Obviously ones for Landy products are much rarer, and a hell of a lot more expensive. This company I discovered does have a branch in France, so I passed their phone number on to him and he is running with it. TBH I'd rather he did the work as I don't want to be responsible in anyway for him buying a turkey. But I do sympathise. Come to think of it, I don't know why he doesn't know the same guy as I know who is only 20 miles down the road. But I don't think he'll do engines as recent as this. He kinda stopped at TD5s.Don't they sell engines in France, then?
So who was it recommended this company? It has a good web site, but.Posting this here and elsewhere to get maximum exposure. The guy I know is looking at a TDv6 code 276DT they have secondhand.

D3 for sale near Maidstone, road legal and a runner, 2006 1500 quid.Obviously ones for Landy products are much rarer, and a hell of a lot more expensive. Thanks for giving me a little bit of a kick in the head in this regard. I'll tell him about the more local guy, he may know someone a bit more local.
Cheers!

I should explain myself better, what I meant was he could buy the whole car and use just the engine, that way he could be sure it was good before fitting it to his car.Cheers mate.
but it's for a Frog guy, so not a left hooker. I'll let him know. After all he recently bought another 110 from the UK.
BUT registering them over there can be a real problem.
However maybe worth it just for the engine!

Could be the owners home address? And following on from the Heads Up given by @discool I found this.
Which gives a totally different adress yet again. Which is a private house. I think I may have actually found it on google maps because there is one that has about 4 crappers on it's land.engineico.com Reviews | check if site is scam or legit| Scamadviser

I'm sure it is.Could be the owners home address?
As I said "may be worth it just for the engine". He wouldn't be in the slightest bothered about driving it down to his place and then scrapping it. You should see all the old Landies he has lying around!I should explain myself better, what I meant was he could buy the whole car and use just the engine, that way he could be sure it was good before fitting it to his car.
How much was the engine from the gravesend place, can't be far of the price of this whole car?
New tyres as well.
