Hi all.
My 2004 td6 has got a flat battery. I was away at weekend and returned home to find out my alarm had been going off all weekend. No damage to car and parked where I always park it.
Have read up and will check sensor and bonnet switch.
Could battery failing and voltage dropping cause the alarm to sound for 3 days?
The alarm sounder is unusual. It doesn't sound like a siren, more of a beep like a wagon reversing. Is this normal or has the alarm been changed maybe?
As always, any help appreciated.

about to order new battery. had MF31-1000 in my P38 so want same one.
Will it fit in 54 plate 3.0l HSE?

Another poster thinks it will, measure the battery box and remember the battery posts are not in the corners but mid way along the sides on the MF31 so the cables need to stretch a little.

@Gadgetz Can you please let me know if the MF31-1000 did fit, I want to replace the 900amp one I got from Halfrauds last year?

Many thanks

Hi. Yes it fits fine. Cranks over a dream now. Make sure you put bonnet in service position or it is awkward to get in.

Thanks for the quick resonse. So not problem with height then?

EDIT: Yes I will put the bonnet up so my son can lift it in easier :D

He won't be happy when he gets home from work at 18:45 on monday and find a big f***off battery waiting for him :D
Mind you when I was his age I was throwing microwave ovens around for fun.
