Anybody interested in a batch of smaller more compact back boxes...?

I've sent PM's to those who expressed serious interest.

If anybody else is interested (Nodge, sucram, matt1295 etc) let me know and I'll send over details. Unfortunately there's no pics or anything as nothing has been made yet, and by the time I have photos, it'll be too late...unless we then get enough for another group purchase of course.

Mine is now paid.... sorry mate I was having hassle with a builder working on the house :(

Cheers David...

Right, that's everyone now paid. I'm not realistically going to have time today to go see my exhaust guy, but I'll wing him an email to let him know its a go and I'll go see him Tuesday.
I'll be ordering one extra, so 6 total, if anybody else wants to jump on board in the mean time let me know and I'll send all details over for you.

Hi Guys,

any ideas on how to make my freelander 2. diesel louder? i know its got like 3 silencers.. can you replace them with straight pipe or is it a custom jobby?

cheers

A straight pipe will fail an MOT. There's nothing really on the market as a ready made replacement... But why do you want louder? Its a turbo diesel, the turbo takes away most of the noise energy coming from the engine, and fitting a complete straight through exhaust like my brother has on his 1 Series diesel makes it sound utter crap

I think if you want noise you bought the wrong car, should've bought a V8 disco...

i know what you mean, i dont want it loud but grunty... a friend has fitted a straight through on his TDCI defender, its not louder as such but its got that jet sound of the turbo.. another friend has found replacement pipes to take out silencers and the pipes just slot back in and bolt up.. thats what i was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere you can order these parts.. would rather not go for a straight through..

They're easy enough to make but would be looking at £££ regardless of who you go through to get them made. As said, I don't think there's anything off the shelf available
