Hi where is the best place to get brake discs and pad set without getting sent the wrong ones thanks

EBC & greenstuff pads for SUVs

MHM thanks but ill need to look else where as they charge £104 for 1 disc

had these on my car now for the last 8 months no problems so far and the brakes are good

Any decent make will be fine-Mintex, Ferodo, Delphi, Brembo etc.
As far as the discs are concerned a lot of the cheaper spurious ones are made from poor quality cast iron which is too soft and scores easily. Pads made by reputable manufacturers are going to be the same as those originally supplied toLR (LR do not manufacture brake pads, shoes, drums & discs).
Personally think that "Green Stuff" pads and shoes are an unneccesary overkill at a ridiculous price and not worth the prices charged. If they are so good...why are they not fitted at build ???????

Not ridiculous when compared to LR OEM prices - better quality and I found on my SUV a lot more resistant to brake fade off road.

i dont think safety is worth compromising on.

I've got EBC Green Stuff pads on my Spitfire and they were worth every penny - there is no servo on the Spitfire so the pedal feel is much more indicative of what's going on.

However if you are just driving about gently, not towing anything heavy or carrying big loads, just get some off ebay. Yes the cheaper discs can wear more quickly but they are just a slab of metal. You might only get 60,000 miles out of them rather than 90,000 - but if they are half the price? Worth going for good branded pads though I think.

EU regs are much stricter on pattern vehicle parts now so I don't think there are the risks of buying crap bits that there was 10 years ago.

Ive put these on mine and I think they're great and for a reasonable price as well, I tow with mine and go up and down a lot of hills and they work very well.
