Play at 3 & 9 o'clock

Hi all whist doing a few checks this morning before the dreaded mot in two weeks time i have found when i grip the front wheels at 3 & 9 o@clock i can detect movement, slight on the ns & slightly more on the os. Any ieas please.

Book the MOT for about 11ish.

wheel brgs but check swivels as well by getting someone to wobble wheel while you look

Cheers James, don't think it is the swivels as i changed the ns swivel assembly last week but i will check the wheel bearings on the os. thanks again

Probably just play in the steering.

There's always SOME detectable movement in the steering. If the joints are worn then it'll fail bit theyre very cheap, otherwise it'll pass unless there's far too much play in the steering box.

Land rover steering will have lots more play than rack and pinion on a car, and it's considered normal.
