i just put my 92 200tdi in for its mot and it failed on two bits of welding, dim headlight and indicator, high emission, all getting sorted for £140.00 inclueding mot not bad for a 1992 so called rust buckets :):):)

My 300tdi just went through only needing 2 wiper blades :)

Advises on non structural welding so hoping to have the underside grit blasted and sealed so as to address all the welding in one go and be good for a couple of years.

Sounds like we both got off pretty lightly ;)

Never had a problem with MOT's :D, but it just shows what's being driven on the roads, faulty headlamp and indicator etc etc.....
What's going to happen when MOTs are bi-annual as it's proposed... cars not stoping because of faulty brakes that the owner didn't know or didn't care about, certainly more unsafe rustbuckets.
