I'm another one who's been having problems with losing coolant, I keep filling her up (her being a 2002 TD5 ES auto). Heater not working correctly either very sporadic bursts of heat coming out or cold gusts, but tonight when filling up the coolant tank I heard a sort of dribbling/burping from beneath, I flashed the torch downwards and saw that there was indeed water coming from somewhere. Unfortunately it was dark and without removing the header tank it's hard to see where the leak is coming from. Anyone fancy having a guess? We've moved recently and my Haynes manual is in storage so I'm going to have to look around on the internet to find out where the pipes from the coolant go. Process of elimination! Also I want to order the parts before Xmas otherwisw could be a long wait

Hi

Check your heater hoses rear of engine drivers side maybe ones split?
Bit difficult to say otherwise without approx location?, hope its not your heater matrix.
The lower hose from my fuel cooler blew once and it didnt show up until I was on motorway giving it beans. And top hose blew this week. Ah Landrover fun; about as reliable as a Lib Dem promise :)

Funny you should say that as today while driving there was a type of grinding crunching noise from the dash which came about every 10 minutes or so... Even more sh.. happened just now, short drive home along a country road and nearly every warning light came on, "TS", "ABS", "SRS", The rear up light, battery light "M & S" and probably more, gear light started flashing (auto), wouldn't change out of "D" it just flashed. Hazzard lights wouldn't come on and then after 5 minutes the dash lights cut out and the main lights dipped dramatically. Then we met a gritting lorry....no accident luckily enough! Lights perked back to normal after 8 minutes but warning lights still flashing up on dash. Got back home and no idea what to do???? okay it is -8 outside but surely this shouldn't be happening
