Help she's died

Not been on for ages been going great no problems till last night went out for day 300 miles in total 10 miles from home engine just stalls at 20mph all electrics still work. When i turn the key to start i get sort of clunk noise we had no oil lights or warning lights temp was normal called AA they can't get reading from comp on car he thinks engine seized can it just seize with no warning when we opened up bonnet to look not overly hot no burning smell still got all oil and water battery good anyone got any clues any help would be great thanks

And it's a disco 1, 2, td5, v8, 300/200tdi or what?

Has the oil pump bolt been loctited?

ok landy all fixed engine not seized but on trying to turn crank bolt engine would not move read on here about jacking up front wheel and putting it in 5th and try turning wheel on doing this noticed that the pulley thay runs aircon was seized took belt off engine turned when i turned the wheel so fitted new pulley all good feels better than ever to drive i thought the belt would of snaped thanks for help hope this might help anyone else who are told enginewas seized.

Sure did cost £65 to fix better than a new engine
