just gotta check this as i have no reference guide as yet

so to drain the g box oil it is the large bolt looks like it may be 22mm area

and to fill it back up its the giant grub screw near the top of the g box prob square key bit to remove it.
 
If its a 300TDI like your avatar pic suggests, and a manual box then it will have an R380 gearbox. If so, then the drain is 32mm spanner, and the refill T55 Torq. (My memory might be failing me, just do a search to check those tools cos I'm only about 90% sure!)

It's 32mm, ring spanner you need. If you attack it with an open ended spanner it'll end in tears because you'll round it off.

Make sure you can undo the fill/level plug before emptying the box. It needs a T55 torx bit.
