Hi Can anyone help?

I have a londrover discovery 3 and about a month ago both my key fobs stopped working. When sitting in the jeep the ock and unlock buttons work on the dash which i found strange. I fiddled with the fuses and the key fobs started to work again but now a month later they have stopped again!! Fiddled with the fuses and that didn't work this time!!:( I took the landrover to my local landrover dealer and they have had my jeep from 8.30am and i still do not have it back. the put it on the diagnostic machine and they said it came up with no faults by 11.45 so they said leave it with them. We phonrd again at 2pm and still nothing. Come 5 o'clock i was getting slightly concerned so i phoned again and they said still nothing, i questioned them and said i thought that the diagnostic machine was specialist and would tell you any fault, they stumbled a bit and then said well it has come up with a fault with the module but the technitian is not 100% sure!!! I thought they were supposed to be specialists and thought they might have come accorss this problem before!!

Please HELP!!!! Anyone got any ideas????

Yep. Give em more time.

A diagnostic computer doesn't magically wave a wand and fix your vehicle. There still has to be some manual input and in many cases things still have to be manually checked out/tested.

It's not uncommon to go out to a vehicle that doesn't start but the management system says all is ok.

The new system that the main dealer uses gives a load of faults listed in the order that they are the most likely cause. If there are 200 possible reasons for that fault and each one has to be looked into cos yours is the last on the list, how long would you say it would take?

I wasn't using the key in the jeep to lock and unlock, the keys weren't working outside the jeep so i tried the buttons on the dashboard to see if it was the locking system or the keys!! As the buttons on the dash work it obviously isn't the locks themselves!

As Ratty says, give them chance. It's being sorted, you'd only have a problem if they didn't rectify the problem whilst the vehicle was under warranty.
