disco 1 front brake discs

just took my new disco for mot , needs discs and pads on front.
ive got the replacements and hub spanner , any advice on procedure ?
does the hub and disc seperate easily ? are the bearings affected ?
and can i move caliper without undoing pipes and bleeding ?

Just done my rears its basically the same. Just tie the calipers up out of the way with a bit of string, no need to remove pipes or drain the system. The Wheel bearings will probably fall out when you remove the hub, just put them back in with a bit of extra grease and make sure you keep them clean. To separate the hub from the disk from the hub put it in the wheel on the floor to undo the bolts and give it a good whack with a mallet as it will probably be corroded on. there's a good guide here.

thanks for replies , i will be doing job in morning ,ill let u no wot happens.
i have a halfords set which has multi point sockets so hopefully be ok ,fingers crossed .
any reccommendations on what grease to repack bearings with ?
