yes they are they just run on opposides of teeth,so pccasionaly a really worn crown wheel and pinion will be a bit whinney it fitted in other axle ,but generally fine to put rear in front or other way round

all 300s are 24 spline ,only the last 200s were,disco 300 rear diff has 3 bolt flange
