just a quick one. i need to replace my passenger side door mirror the full unit not just the glass. however they are expensive was just wondering i a on from an older model would work

With a tiny bit of fiddling you can stick defender mirrors on. Best mod you can do to a disco speshully if you do a bit of towing.

What's funny? Being able to actually see something out of your mirrors is a good thing isn't it? The factory fitted ones are utterly useless. I'm done with discos for the time being due to having an aversion to galloping tin worm but if I ever get another one it'll be the first thing I do to it.:D
 
I can see the sense in that. My first Rangie came with crappy aftermarket mirrors, and I replaced those with Defender mirrors. Good vision backwards, but having upgraded to electrically adjustable and more importantly demisting, I would not go back. I don't have a problem with standard mirrors.

I've read elsewhere that 300mirrors fit a td5
