hi got some front springs to change and heavy dutys ones for rear ,apart from corrosion to nuts bolts etc! how difficult a job is it ,i got spring compressors for when they are off. so any info would be greatly appreciated!:)

you dont need spring compressors just put you vehicle jack between axle or radius arm and chassis and push down just enough to fit springs after undoing shocks

Only problem i can see is that maybe the bolts for the spring retainers might shear off. As for spring changes, fitted a lift kit to a friends 90 week or two ago, found wheel off. Axle stand under chassis. Undo the shocker bolts, with a jack under the axle. Lower the axle down just enough to relase the spring.

you dont have to undo them ,knock them up a bit with suitable punch and unscrew spring ,rescrew new spring tap down tabs and tigthen spring by twisting a bit more

Would you not get new retainers and bolts with the springs thou???????. I only ask as stu's retaining plate had complete rusted away.
