Morning All,

I haven't used the Wolf for a week but woke up this morning in the gloom to see the rear brake lights glowing out of the darkness.

Tried pulling the fuses which didn't work, basically regardless of the ignition position, key in or out, the brake lights are on.

I guess it's a short somewhere as we've had a bit of rain...

Thoughts or is this a job for a professional?

Charlie

I would have thought that with the fuse out they would have gone off. I cant remember but does the wolf have seperate brake lights or is it the normal stop/tail lights?

try removing fuses one by one, see which circuit is feeding/backfeeding it.
if all the fuses out, and the lights are still on, batter backfeeding though alternator/diode pack

Thanks, this worked...I started with the first fuse in the line, No. 18 AUX and this for some reason worked. The strange thing is everything else still works, even the brake lights!

Strange bit of wiring here.

ib would also be your interior (or map) light according to that diagram it may not actually be connected to anything else anymore.

Yes I know I haven't got around to the intro bit yet but do you have a trailer socket for towing? Could be that the permenant 12v contact has got water ingress and is shorting out to the brake light contact? Steve
