'zaust pipe

If i were to fit a 300tdi to my 1986 90, i would like to fit a straight thru exhaust pipe. I've seen them on paddocks for OK prices but they were for 200 and 300tdi ones which had the later exhaust brackets, so where can i find a straight thru pipe for my landy?

presumably when you fit engine youll change exhaust hangars etc to allow fitting of the 300 full exhaust

I've had a look around and i think i would prefer to fit a td5 backbox, but would it fit? ie from the manifold, to a 300tdi defender downpipe, 300tdi middle section pipe and then td5 tailpipe. Would they all fit together no probs?

The 300tdi tailpipe looks like it might be quite fiddly to set up, it looks more like a series 3 exhaust

check before you buy there are 3 different possibilities i think for straight through 300 pipes

You know, thinking about it, it might be wise not to fit a straight through system....
When my defender has had it's heart transplant it will need to go through an inspection to get it re-registered, to make sure it is compliant with every stupid french law they can throw at it, i may replace the muffler at a later date but for now i think it's the best option!

You will need to research the right hanger brackets too.

I may be able to steal them off the donor vehicle, but can they be found online anywhere?

Found them on YRM metal solutions! Sure beats fabricating them

Yeah, no bother. Paddocks, LRDirect, YRM etc I'm sure they all post abroad.
It's just a bit of a faff on getting the permutations of exhaust systems to brackets right. I've found that anyway
