:cheer2:passed the MOT:clap2: High level tail lamp not working but advised the tester it was disconnected, passed on that. Had to have a ball joint changed so a total bill of £97 to get through...........HAPPY

Not for MOT. It will fail if more than 50% of the bulbs don't work. But if it does not work at all, if you tell him it's disconnected he has to believe you and pass the vehicle.

Nice one, got one of our P38's through the MoT last week with only an extra £20 for a seat belt buckle, very pleased.

Not looking forward to having to put the old Disco through in the next couple of weeks though

Except for tail brake lights of coarse you won't get away with that one lol

No you could not say my left hand stop lamp is disconnected and get away with that. That only applies to high level lamp.
But 50% rule applies to all stop lamps. It is a new rule brought in to cover multi bulb lamps like led stop lamps. On any lamp at least 50% of the bulbs must work to pass the test.
