The toon!
Just been down to halfrauds to look at the xenon headlight bulbs as they have buy one get one free.50%90% and 120% improvement on standard bulbs.the bloke says there all road legal but the thing is looking at the bulbs that's in face on they look bright but they don't actually seem to give good coverage when driving, but if I replace them say with the 120%brighter I don't want to dazzle on coming drivers.I've had them in cars before and they do make a difference but I'm sure I've read on here there illegal?just to see what yous think before I buy them?cheers

Put Osram Nightbreaker H7's in there, really good bulbs and a decent price :). Xenon headlights are a bit of a fad IMHO and I don't know if they really improve anything other than how much your Audi blinds all oncomers .

Will.

I've just got normal bulbs in at the min no hd kits etc.I'll have a look at them night breakers, just to improve visibility really, cheers

Mine are Halfrauds rally 90/130W jobs. Plenty of light but not dazzling/cnutish (but not technically legal). They give a yellow/orange beam that work in mist or fog and don't make you a plod magnet :-D

I put Osram Nightbreaker Plus in mine, dipped and mains, excellent results, completely road legal aswell so no worries!
Going to have a look at the headlight alignment though 'cause with the new bulbs they seem to be set a little high or maybe the extra light with the new bulbs is making them appear that way?

I thought that too - that they seemed to be higher.

But they passed the MOT two days later and the tester said they were spot on.

SV.

What number setting do you have your lights on for normal driving without towing??

I have mine on 3 at the moment,,
as you could hardly tell the lights were on on a higher setting...

Maybe a combination of poor light and distance..or I am blind...

As said either my Freelander is pointing up hill on the flat,
or my eyes are getting bad..

Tyres are all the same size with deeper tread on the back, and 29 Psi all round..
I suppose its possible mine is a little soft on the back after nearly 10 years..

I used to have mine on 0 but the light was way out front and as so it was quite dull..

I may have to get a set of these night-breakers in a H4 for me though..

Anyone have measurements on how their Freelander should sit,,
wheel arch height up through the centre of the wheel from the ground would be a good place to start.....

;)

Nightbreakers are much better than value off ebay than an equivalent from Halfrauds!!

Push down on the rear end and if it bounces , you might need new shocks .

Cheers Wulf,,
I will jump in the back when I see it again and see if she bounces..:)
with my weight she will a bit..
but I take it it should go down, then back up and settle??

worn shocks dont alter height, only weak springs will alter height
