If you look at the Q & A you will see the picks are not for the car he is
selling.

I had someone hijack my eBay account earlier this year and advertise
something I have never owned. I tried to stop the auction but eBay are so
slow you have to ride it out and cancel the auction after the sale has been
made.

So how is the bloke with the hacked account replying to questions & cancelling bids??? His account is
hacked so he can't do **** as passwords & god knows what else have been changed. Or someone who knows his

This is an odd answer as well "hi the vehicle that is shown is not mine
ebay have made a fault my vehicle for sale is a range rover diesel f reg
thanks"

How does ebay "made a fault?" It shows what you tell it to. I've never
heard of complete listings being made "wrong" by eBay, indeed I've never
heard of ebay getting item despriptions or images cross linked. Another
no brainer who thinks things are sold by ebay not by the sellers?

Assuming the site has been hacked it is quite simple. I logged on to eBay and found my identity being used to sell something I have never owned. I started to cancel bids but as I did other bidders became the high bidder. I then started to email bidders stating this was a fraudulent item but after trying to contact eBay to have the auction stopped I just sat there and watched the bidding go on. After the auction was over I contacted the winner and informed them they had been scammed and told them not to pay. I eventually made contact with eBay and eventually they confirmed I had not made the listing and then told the winning bidder they had been the subject of a hoax. I managed to find an email for the perpetrator on the site and told eBay and the police. The email address became unavailable quite shortly after. As I suffered no financial loss the police where unable to take any further action.

eBay continually referred to the incident as "it appears that a third party was able to gain access
to your eBay account and use it to list some unauthorised auctions" "it appears" suggested they thought I might have had some involvement in the false listing. I insisted they retract the statement and eventually got them to admit.

The auction was completely changed about 5 days in. Why, I have no idea.
The earlier description fits a 2.4 VM classic, which would have been about F

dunno why it's not been pulled though - eBay normally pull stuff far less
dodgy-looking than that. I guess it's possible that eBay have crossed wires
somewhere, or that someone has hijacked the auction somehow.

LOL, i just got this e-mail from the bloke who was hacked!!! I asked to buy it direct etc.

--

Hi there, the Range Rover 4.4 is still available for the price of £11,300. The reg no is SP02NWM. The car is 100% working and great looking, no scratches, scuffs, dents or any kind of damage. I have just moved to Hungary because my wife is Hungarian and she got a very good job offer here. The car is here with us as well. I am selling it because I cannot manage with the right-hand drive here.
You should also know that it is still registered in the UK. Please email me back soon and let me know if you are still interested in a transaction.
All the best Mark

LOL!!!! I have asked for his address & will go over to meet him with cash etc.

I once **sold** an LCD TV to various scammers on ebay that got £32k worth of dodgy cheques that I sent to the police. I have been doing ebay for a good while.

LOL - even better, look at this thick **** (him, not me!)

Reply from the teef!!!

if we come to an agreement the car will be delivered directly to your home address and the cost for that
and for the insurance will be included in the initial sale price. The car will be shipped by truck and
that will take about 3 weeks.
I suggest that we close this deal using the security provided by Fortis Escrow on such transactions. It
is an international escrow service that works great, it is safe and really fast.
About the payment procedures I will notify Fortis Escrow and they will contact you shortly to let you
know their terms.
Please get back to me as soon as possible and let me know if you agree with that or not.

My reply

As it happens, my next door neighbour is from Hungary, she wants to visit her relatives. I can quite
easily drive back home as I don't work right now. (I was shot in a Police raid believe it or not!!) I am
claiming a massive amount of damages from them. They got the wrong bloke as I'm white & the bloke they
wanted was black!!! It will be nice to drive the Range Rover home from Hungary through Europe, I already
have one & I know how nice they are to drive long distance.

I'm sure cash is better than waiting for money from escrow??

I don't wish to look as though I'm trying to push you, but I also have a 54 plate Subaru impreza WRX I'm
looking to sell, are you interested in this car at all?
