hi chaps,so i've heard of lots of different engine transplants but hears a possibility for someone,i have a bmc/leyland/nuffeild 5.1 6 cylinder non turbo engine currently marinised (but EVERYTHING is available to de-marinise from a guy in lincolnshire who specialises in vintage truck and tractor parts).the engine is in great shape no breathing no smoke and sounds like a wounded lion, these engines were used alot in trucks and tractors, and maybe now a land rover ? if anyone is after info or wants to view let me know.

regards steve

Huge diesel lumps just aren't worth the hassle of sticking in a landy. Either they have so much torque they trash the drive train, gearbox etc or they were designed to produce max power at 800rpm and have a top speed of 25mph.
