I have a v8 Disco LPG. I'm thinking of having some work done on the engine, new camshafts, timing chain etc.
Question is do I need to put it into a garage that specialises in lpg or is there a risk involved if I get a local garage to do the work, anybody had experience of this situation

Assuming the engine is a standard petrol engine it can be built/repaired as such, the LPG conversion is designed to go on a standard engine so look at it that way.

If you cannot do it yourself get a good garage to do the work and be done with it.

make sure its an approved garage - I have heard of many bad experiences people have had when trying the 'guy down the road'. When installed correctly yes I agree very little can go wrong but when having that installation really make sure that they are approved and recognised garage by checking either comparelpg or lpga
