Working on LPG engine

I have a v8 Disco LPG. I'm thinking of having some work done on the engine,new camshafts, timing chain etc.
Question is do I need to put it into a garage that specialises in lpg or is there a risk involved if I get a local garage to do the work,anybody had experience of this situation

Assuming the engine is a standard petrol engine it can be built/repaired as such, the LPG conversion is designed to go on a standard engine so look at it that way.

If you cannot do it yourself get a good garage to do the work and be done with it.

make sure its an approved garage - I have heard of many bad experiences people have had when trying the 'guy down the road'. When installed correctly yes I agree very little can go wrong but when having that installation really make sure that they are approved and recognised garage by checking either comparelpg or lpga

Good advice Perchshaw, I'll do that. Just worried about the cost in going to a main dealer.
