Wood Veneer Dash Trim

Thinking of improving the interior of my P38 Range Rover with the use of some wood trim on the dashboard. This has been brought on by some marking of the exisiting trim during the replacement of the 'O' rings to the heater pipes. Dash panels having to be removed to gain access.

Can anyone recommend a supplier of wood trim. Also as the cheaper alternative can anyone give some guidance on using a paint finish to hide the scars (only minor but still need sorting)

can get complete kits on ebay, for about £90

have heard mixed reviews about those. sometimes they look like exactly what they are: cheap stick-ons.

Thanks for the replies. I do have mixed feelings about the 'tacky' side of these kits. A solution to the problem might be a relacement plastic trim.

or a can of spray adhesive and either leather or alcantara or any other fabric of your choice?

I've bought a few 'walnut' items from RangeRoverBreaker on here. He makes them by coating the original black plastic bits in 'something' and then doing some magic and it turns out just like the original walnut. I've even seen steering wheels that he's done and also some bits that R.R. never did. I don't know if he'd be able to repair yours, I've never thought to ask him. Try a P.M.

Don't buy these kits off Ebay they are cr*p, believe me I did and last year with the sun on the days it came out, and got hot the top "wood" effect seperated from the base and curled up.

I would look for the original wood kits, a bit dear but worth the cost.
