OK looks like I was wrong, maybe as it was already in and wired I didnt pay much attention, anyway the cables actually come out the front

as you can see the antenna coax goes up to the antenna above under back quater light window I have my fingers on the antenna wire.

As you can see from this picture your looking for 3 individual cables, a brown, a red with yellow trace and a white with green trace.

These cables all go back to the main loom which I have pictured here, maybe double check its not wrapped up tight in there somewhere as it does honestly look like mine was dragged out as an afterthought, its not tightly wrapped up in loom tape like the other stuff it looks like it was pulled out seperately at a later date.

Hope that is of some help. If you need anything else I will have more time tonight after 9

Hi Paul,

That's of great help !
Thanks !!

Well been out to mine and I definitely haven't got that shape of plug!

Although the one I have pictured is in the sane area as the receiver location and the plug has 3 cables of exactly the same as your 3 cables pictured going to your receiver.

This must be the correct cables
I reckon the early L322's had the older receiver that maybe used a different type of plug ?

Need someone with a 2002 to confirm now lol

I have definately read during my long research into this someone retro fitting a t90 to a pre facelift L322. There cant me much as far as I can tell it looks to me like 3 cables would be 12V/Ground/Canbus signal (switch wire) and the only other thing is the antenna which im guessing will be the same. Worth noting also hippo I did read a few times that people who had them done at the stealers at a later date said that the install consisted of being suplpied with a remote, the reciever (t90) and also an updated window antenna to give the reported upto 600M range. So dont know wether that antenna would be a pre requisite or not.

yes im sure i can get it working.

i think webasto do a converter harness to convert the older type plugs to the new type.

i just need to either get hold of this adapter harness or just get a plug off a scrap L322 and solder them myself.

i will also need to buy a window mounted antenna as i dont have the TV tuner module fitted which the receiver uses for its signal.

just bought a fob aswell. the T91.

a steal at £25 :D

Why don't you just wear a big coat??:D:p

I remember one winter in my old 3.9 Classic - the heater fan didn't work so I drove to work wearing goves, scraf, hat, jacket, ear muffs! and a hot water bottle....

I loved that Rangie....till some barstewards nick it!

exactly the same symptoms as mine !!!

mine did work last year, usually that's the sign of the heating element failure within the steering wheel.

i just cant face the cost of a new steering wheel yet, a shame though as it was quite good for keeping your hands toasty on the colder days lol

i cant do wearing "driving gloves" LMAO :D:D:D

Yeah I love my heated steering wheel and its not even proper cold yet, I still use it :)

As for te t60 unit your looking for According to Microcat it wasinstalled up to VIN # 2A999999

Thanks for your help.

much appreciated.

Well im confident i can get the newer T90 receiver to work, just wondering now is the output to the FBH a canbus connection or an analogue +12V switched ? ? as i have heard you can manually test the FBH by applying 12v to the fbh switch line. which suggests it uses an analogue switched +V to activate the FBH.

Ill just connect mine up with the same connections as yours and see what happens.

:D
