This is a common problem, described by the cover manuf. as 'wicking' & the recommended solution is to pour warm water onto the cover prior to removing it. Trouble is, in freezing conditions the water is liable to re-freeze! I used a half-cover (also called a top cover) on my RRC for five years & now employ a full one, my biggest problem is that the car is parked some distance from the home so the only place to store the cover is in the back of the car, which obviously presents problems in wet weather. At times like these I sometimes wonder if it's worth all the faffing about, but leaving an old RR exposed to the UK weather is not an option if I want to preserve it.
