Hi,

Thought it was about time I introduced myself.
Have been looking for a Land Rover product for sometime, having a working Labrador and Springer spaniel.
For too long now they've been jumping in and out my hatchback which isn't really fit for purpose.
With my budget I have been looking at a project and had my eye on a fellow members Project Range Rover but as it was a 4.6l Petrol, the fuel consumption was eye watering.
I have now taken the plunge and bought myself a 300 Discovery 50th Anniversary model.
It has been on a SORN for over a year.
It requires welding to the inner arches (front and back) and sills, the boot floor looks to be intact.
There are a few other jobs but all in all the leather interior is good.
I'm hoping to start a project thread but thought I would do the decent thing and say hello!
My mate is doing a lot of the work and is a member on here.
Think at present he's in his garage working on the Discovery.
He threatened to steal it from me if I din't introduce myself so here I am.
Couple of photos to get started with.

looks like it'll be an interesting project. The exterior looks fairly good, so if you can get the loadbearing rust taken care of, it should repay the effort.

Dogs like going in Land Rovers. It's as if they know it's been created especially for them.
