will not drive at d at start up

hi : i am new here ,,,can someone help please ;;

my p38will only drive at selector 1 at startup { PULLUP} and will not do on selector P after i have a oil change on the automatic transmission from a garage ;; on selector 2, 3 and p it wil do OK after the car run smooth on normal even on the highway it do a 140 kilometer ,,,, ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

IF IT WIL NOT DRIVE ON SELECTOR D . I ACCELATOR THE ENGINE UNTILL IT REACH 4000 RPM THE GEAR WILL ENGAGE AND I CAN PULL THE P38 MOVING ALL ALONG THE WHOLE DRIVE .. BUT ON THE DASHBOARD IT START TE FLASH GEARBOX IS FAULTY ,

While I do not know the answer and understand how frustrating it can be, this forum no doubt has someone who can advise you further.
But

It sounds like an oil pump pressure issue

perhaps freewheel clutch in clutch c is buggered can be fixed or you can get new box

Sounds like they didn't put enough oil in it

Im with rewmer recheck gearbox oil level could have just been filled but not run thru the gears. mine took another litre after it was initially full.

Yup, oil must be added with engine running after all gears have been selected.

And the gearbox cold.

oil shortage would make all gears poor new oil can effect free wheel clutches

thank all :: first the garage did not fill enough oil in the gear box ;; i have fill it myself to the correct level { 1 1 /2 liter to the correct level } when it can drive through 140 km ;;;;; untill i post this problem ,,Can some please tell me where is the gearbox oil pressure pump locator ?

hi datatek the garage did not known how to fill the gear oil ;; i have to do it myself after he fill only half of it ;;the guy said that he did touch the gearbox oil { filling new oil } ;; but every one of us can see that the screw is unscrew and the oil is refill ;;; engine running on P SCROOL SLOW TO R ... N .. D,, 3,,2,,1,, 2,,3,, D ,,N,,,R,, back to P and fill it ;;; check the box without driving and once with driving for 2 kilometer unscrew it oil dipping out ,,,,,,, so that it ;;;

Who told you to recheck after driving or with the engine not running? This will result in a under-filled gearbox as too much oil will drain out the filler.

i check it myself to make sure that it enough oil in the box ,, after driving :: but recheck it when the engine is running on P
just unscrew the nut and put it back and nothing more ; oil is ok ,,,,just flowing out slowing from the gearbox ;;;

You must check oil level with oil cold.

i will recheck oil at cold temperatuur::when engine is running

on the day when i refill the fluid my self to the level ,,,, drove way to the land rover garage and heeft it ;;; another change of the fluid ;;have tell them about the roblem , they read the codes with the test book ;; but nothing come ,, no commucation with the ECU ,,, they told me to back today { to read the codes } i am there today , the exerp { TESTBOOK COMPUTER } have no commucation with ecu AGAIN //// anyhow the mechanic man

anyhow the mechanic is able to read to have the codes read with the T4 computer codes read is 135;135;; 165;;;;168,, for them LANDROVER DEALER . tell me that the codes is even unknown to them ;;;
