Will it work or is it too difficult?

does n e one know whether its possible to fit a 200 / 300 tdi engine into a swb series 3 landy that curently has a 2.25 petrol engine in it? or would it mean havin to change the box as well. if not what oil burner would be easiest to fit apart from the 2.25 diesel .

Me finks so too sorry was a dizzy moment of madness.

My son asked me if it could be done cos a family freind has offered to give him a S3 for his first car only problem is engine is buggered so he was askin what could go in and ya know what its like when there nagging so I posted with out finking I sincerley grovel and now off to do a search.

easiest conversion and best in my mind is the 200 as it bolts straight to box and if you remove eng mounts off both engines the series mounts fits straight to 200 engine its as easy as a like for like engine but get a steve parker exhaust look him up on google etc.
done this many times any prob pm me and i will talk you through it, wiring and all.
