Will a defender 1.6 ratio fit my discovery 1

Good evening, I'm in the process of putting 37 inch wheels on my discovery 1 es automatic v8i 1998 and I need either the 1.4 or 1.6 ratio transfer box. Will the 1985 110 with na engine on a defender defender 1.6 off a military vehicle fit. He swapped this out to put a discovery 1.2 in instead.
