can anyone help, my 2000 p38, 4.6 vogue has, today for some unknown reason it started flashing its front indicators randomly all day and the alarm red indicator light flashes at the same rate with the indicator lights, the car will no longer unlock on the remotes and appears to have a flat battery, but the indicators keep flashing very weakly now and then, my neighbour phoned me at work to inform me of its strange happenings!!, i approached the car to unlock it via my remotes but its having none of it,, havent tried to start it yet, probably will need charge the battery and hope for the best!! anyone ever come accross this before?

You'll need to change the battery for sure and re-sync the fobs. Sounds like RF picking up spurious signals.........try disconnecting the the single blue aerial wire from th RF unit (located behind offside rear passenger seat under plastic trim panel.)

Hi
All above advice good but for testing fault would disconnect whole rf unit as the little buggers will pick up signals from other sources even without the aerial wire on {owl electric monitors are one of the worst} Check if shift indicator light glows after about 40 seconds when key removed from ignition If it goes out then re lights then you can be almost sure an rf signal is wakeing up becm {will only be very dim glow} becm then plays tricks with indicators and alarm
