I've had the pleasure of a houseguest for the last couple of days; here is 'Her Landy Ship'....

Now, we all know that Land-Rovers have doddgy Hand-Brakes; and the wisened old Landy-Lads will tell you that they so frequently dont work, becouse so any dont realise that they are a 'fifth' brake on the gear-box, that they are so awkward to adjust, and so often neglected.... OR that the transfer box seal goes, and they fill with EP90......

BUT!

I think I've found the REAL reason they dont work.......

Its the Land-Rover Hand-Brake 'Pixie' who comes and messes it all up when you're not looking!

....the hand-brake pixies can be easily appeased by offerings; gifts of Thornton's choccies, veg oil or doozil, and shiny things, such as snap-on toolage all serve to make the pixies happy, and ensures that they do not slacken your cable or poke out your seals at MOT time!!! :D

the bloody pixy poked a hole in my oil seal :( the result is ive now got a new sort of parking hand brake, its called first gear :)

gotta get it sorted though its doin my head in.
