Why dosent my radio work? What 'is' that smell?

All the grass was in the hole the little bugger has bitten through the dash board.
The radio was trashed.
I assume it was a mouse house.

I would have thought he/she would have got in via the gaps round the doors/panels. Much easier than eating yer way in through the dash.
