Who makes this chequer plate bonnet cover

The military were never big on chequer-plate on their LR's, indeed as far as I am aware only the mid-life rebuilt Tithonus vehicles had it fitted but even then the bonnet only seems to have been fitted with two strips, not the rather nicely cut / folded / welded item shown in the article. A search for Snatch LR's however reveals several vehicles fitted with the same type of plate so that is probably where it came from.
Judging from the numerous photos of Snatch LR's available there are an equal number fitted with other variations of bonnet chequer-plate however these could be from different contracts or just replaced / repaired in the field.

I think my mates snatch has the same set up as the one in the pic, He tells me theres a facebook page dedicated to these l/rovers and theres always spares being sold/swapped etc, so maybe worth a look see?

Looks smart but I've never seen it fitted to a military Landy. Not to say some maybe didn't have them but almost all I saw that had been through Tithonus had had a strip on each side of the bonnet and sometimes a strip of chequer plate in the middle in front of the wheel. Not a full cover.

okay, i followed up on the suggestion to look for a guy named snatch and didnt find him. I did find that there was a defender referred to as Truck Utility Medium (TUM) with Vehicle Protection Kit (VPK) by searching for Defender snatch

It isn't consistent but I found a few with the contoured chequer plate. I can't find anyone selling surplus used parts.

Any help locating the facebook page referred to by one of the previous posters would be helpful or if you have a link to a military surplus land rover site then pls pm me or post a response
