Hi All,
I have the funds available to buy a diagnostics tool, they all seem to be similar in price, with the Hawkeye seemingly being the cheapest as well as being the only one not tied to a single vehicle VIN.

So how does it fare against the Nanocom?
one job I need to do is calibrate my suspension as one side sits higher than the other (by about 2") so I need the ability to adjust one side against the other (I changed the rear sensor arms without disconnecting battery...)
Now, one dealer for Hawkeye said that it wont, however a good trawl on here suggests it will.

anyone with a current (V7) Hawkeye care to chime in as to whether that feature is available, or am I stuck with paying the extra for the nanocom (and not being able to use it on my mates D2 TD5?)

+1
Nanocom is unlocked for vehicle type not VIN. The Disco 2 unlock will do both petrol and diesel versions, auto and manual.
First unlock is included in the purchase price, other types can be downloaded and applied for another few quid at any time.

nanocom has more features and can do some additional things than hawkeye but it's not 100% reliable, hawkeye is 100% reliable but has some lacks compared to nanocom like it can't programm used fobs or save files but it's made with the same protocol like main dealer tool T4 by the same manufaturer, bearmach it's only the supplier...i have them both and i'm using mainly hawkeye for diagnostic and programming purposes and nanocom only for used fobs and live data fueling inputs to be able to save the file...your choice

Ah OK, the way I read the website I thought nanocom was tied to 1 vehicle.

So can anyone confirm if the Hawkeye will allow me to set the suspenion height.

IIRC, I am pretty sure that my V7 Hawkeye can reprogram fobs - you just need the right dongle for access to the systems... YMMV
