I need to get new inner & outer sill for both sides of my Disco but could do with a bit of a steer on where to get them from.

I want to replace them fully because they have rotted through on the area's that make up the floor too, and the seatbelt mount has rotted off the driver side, so I want to use the pattern parts so I can chop out all the original stuff and replace it.

I have seen that Paddocks, MPS and Buckley brothers sell the bits, Im wondering if there is:

1. Anywhere else I should consider?
2. Which, if any, are a better fit?
3. Is anywhere any cheaper?

Cheers all.

mm4x4 do excellent innere and outer discovery 1 sills, have just bought the offside set. They are an exact match for what is underneath. £131 pounds,or approx 50 £per sill.Have not fitted mine yet,but am very impressed with the quality.Ask for the ones made in Coventry if you decide to buy.

get some box section and metal sheet.... why pay loads of money for sills when you can do it yourself?

its not like there's any special shape on it...its all square and flat.

I paid out for a set from paddocks and would have been better off with some flat plate. What I reckon is replace with box section.....wasnt there an old thread on that?

Box section, or YRM.

Box section is good unless your fitting sliders, in which case you don't need the extra weight of the big box section.

I used YRM panels, ideal if you don't have a big sheet bender. Did feel a bit daft though paying 70 odd quid for some folded 1.2mm sheet...

Cheers.

well yeah, but thewy wont offer very good body protection underneath, but they are better than nothing.

sliders with tree bars are necessary for difficult offroading, but if not getting that involved, a piece of box is a worthwhile addition for the occasional knock.

i rely on my tree sliders, they are constantly in use protecting the body when sliding down deep ruts or navigating around rocks and trees.

cheers :)

My metal folder is only 2 foot wide but even so I ws not happy about the deal,as noisy says.Anyone remember where the box section fix thing was ?I cant find it and I think Im going to do my 96 300 up as a rat....stripped back, plastic off, weld on metal bumper ends etc,and box sills would be good for that.

Have just bought inner & outer offside sills, from M&M 4X4 AT Worcester.Collected mine in person,so cannot comment on delivery service, but am very impressed with the quality, and they are an exact match for what is underneath. Not cheap at £131 the pair(inc.v.a.t) but I am certainly going to buy the nearside pair from them.Ask for the ones made in Coventry if you decide to buy.Shop is open till 3pm Saturdays.
