Now then gentlemen,

My big chunky Amstrad 901 used to go here

But then when that packed up after 25 years of service, my new (used) midland 77-099 which is a lovely little set and much smaller goes here

And it's super smashing great cos its right close - can hear it easily in noisy disco, and can easily fiddle your knob whilst driving etc.

All depends on size though, as they say :D

I bought a president walker cos ive been wanting one for ages, it has great features and top level build quality, I tried to find a space for it but sold it again cos the little radio was just too handy, the chunky president would have had to go elsewhere and it was just too much of a limiting factor.

Cheers

yeah i think its the way to go i think your small midland set is the one my mates got and it will vertually go anywhere so mite buy one of those instead that way it will look beter.

I had to cover up the hole in the plastic so I thought I'd go for that. Rarely gets left anywhere mate so theft is unlikely, having said that it would make a lot of difference cos ripping off the column and turning the ignition switch at the back is easy enough! :D

But every little helps I guess :)

called at my mates again today and had another look at where he had put his cb and the more i look at it the more i like it so i think i will buy a small midland and worked out due to measuring it that it will fit nicely above the drivers side of the over head console so that is the way i am going a small midland cb in the over head console above the driver.

thanks everyone for you replies much appreciated yeah as much as i like my cobra cb the car is too good to start chopping stuff to make it fit so i have now decided on buying a small midland as i think it will be the best way to go.
