Wheels and tyres

Good afternoon people ,I have a 2010 freelander2 , with 16 inch rims ( 215/75/16) .i Have the chance of having a set of land rover wheels 18 inch rims (235/60/18) off of a 2011 model , my question is would the 18s fit my landy ,thanks

If the wheels are from a Freelander 2, then they will fit no problem, but you will require the correct wheel nuts to go with them. 16" rims are pretty unusual on the FL2, 17s were the most widely used small size.
You'll really notice a difference going from 16s to 18s, with the steering feeling more responsive, although you will feel more road vibration and a harder ride.

Thanks for reply ,will the tyres be far enough away from the the top of the struts ?

Yes. All Freelander 2 share the same suspension dimensions, so any Freelander 2 wheels will fit from 16" to 20". The tyres are just lower profile on the larger rims, keeping the diameter all within a few mm of each other. 215/75/r16 tyres are 28.9" in diameter, 235/60/r18 are 29.10 in diameter, so about 5 mm larger over all, or about 2.5 mm closer to the spring seat. My 17" rims have 235/65/r17 tyres which are 29" in diameter and I have about 10mm clearance between the tyre and spring cup.

You said make sure I have the correct wheel nuts for the 18 inch wheels ,so where would I get those from ,I’m not sure if I’m being senile or not ,thanks
