Hello guys, I have just jacked up my freelander to investigate a rubbing noise on the front offside wheel. While it is up in the air, I do not seem to be able to rotate the wheel. Is this normal?
The rear wheel does the same too.
Do I have a problem?
Many Thanks
Nigel

P.S. sorry if this is a stupid question, but this is the first Freelander I have owned.

if you have one wheel jacked up wheel shouldnt spin free ,but it should turn stiffly with a bar and socket on wheel nut , you have a viscous coupling between front and rear wheels,it takes some effort to over come ,if you apply too much effort to quick it will lock

forgot to add anyone that has a vehicle with viscous coupling should jack one wheel up regulary and check its not seized ,done regulary you will also get to know when its changing so can replace before it damages transmission or diffs
