well i new i should have done them .front wheel bearing collapsed on the way home from work.now its only the outer one the only problem i have is if you look in the hayens manual on page 8.5there is a small pic and D the outer race for inner bearing i cant move it so is it threaded or just a slide up the spline .would i be ok cutting it of with my grinder so i can get the back bearing off as well .it also had freewheeling hubs on it but they had smashed and was taped up but the front bearing was full of mud and **** so they wont be going back on . what do i need to order to repair this obviously a wheel bearing kit but what about the cover where the free wheeling hub was cheers for any help you can offer

bearings must be changed in pairs ,outer races in hub will knoc out with a decent hammer and punch ,dont punch new bearings back in either press in or use a tool to fit over race ,you will need a drive member ,hub cap etc too

the outer race is stuck on the stub axel and is stoping me from getting the back bearing off is it ok to grind it off and do you get all this with a wheel bearing kit

races sit in hub ,bearing is stuck on stub you mean ?yes you can destroy old bearing just becareful you dont damage stub axle

ok thanks yes its the inner edge of the old bearing i think . would you get them from famous four in louth james martin i live in immingham so not to far away from me .

right i have got the bearings of the stub axel and the n s f stubaxel is damaged it has worn a big grove in it .so now the next question is are stub axels easy to change as i dont want to file it down and risk the new bearings tehen have to do it all again in a few months so a bit of advice here please
