what's your problem.....?

Evening boys and girls,

I've got a bit of a head scratcher. Now on my 300tdi disco there is a long pause between when you turn the key and when something happens. Some days it might just be half a second and others days it could be ten seconds and somedays nothing happens at all.

Because its sort of an intermitent fault i checked through the wiring and doesnt seem to be any problems.

Any ideas?

the ignition switch on the back of the barrel?

Might be worth a check. cheers

evenin oldskool, if its not that i would be looking at the solenoid on the starter....

Imobilizer? Have disco's got a relay between the switch and the starter solenoid?

I've had a similar problem like that, was the starter motor sticking.
