what winch woes!

Hi guys,

Hope this is ok asking as i have searched alot and have tried to piece together alot of posts but wondered if i could get a general consensus on here,

I am doing my rebuild and want to put a winch on, now ive got two options, either grab something second hand, like i quite often see warm M8000's ect on ebay for around 250 quid, or would it be best and go brand new something like a superwinch for around 300 quid? and if the second option does anyone have any reccomendations? any packages with a rope would be brlliant, looking to spend around 300 quid or 400 if it has rope rather than wire..

This is becoming almost as bad as "What tyre?" posts. If you have a search, you will find that the general recommendation is to go for a 2nd hand winch from the likes off Warn, Superwinch, Ramsey etc, than a cheap, no-name Chinese one.

Non of the above is true, everyone recommends something different till you get so confused you dont buy anything at all.
