Ok Now the suspension is sorted on the Disco,
As it has full history and has done 106,000miles and is running fine, What jobs should be done as preventative measures in order of importance?
ie Gearbox oil, wiring harness and general jobs that need doing. Although it has history, they are mainly stamps in the book so i don't know quite what has and has not been done,
Oh and the sunroofs don't leak :D
Many thanks.

On mine, a 300Tdi, when i got it (55000 miles) I did a full service, all oils including gearboc, diffs etc, timing belt, serpentine belt, and spray the whole throttle area with a light oil (3-in-1 spray)/

Now I'd remove the fan and check back of radiator for blown fins .. only a few missing can cause problems as the oil cooler is incorporated into the rad. I'd also check swivel pre-loads, wheel bearings, all bushes, all earth points, make sure the covers are on the backs of the headlights, check all brake pads/pistons.

Then just carry on servicing it ... mine's now done 126000 miles with no major problems in 7 ish years.

Agree with all the above - mine's almost done 160,000, and still going well.

Keep it well-serviced, and do what you can to prevent corrosion (loads of opinions on here as to the best method here, I am a Waxoyl and oil fan) on the chassis, and underbody pipework (brake pipes, ACE pipes if you have them, PAS pipes etc).
