My '84 90 looks like its going uphill all the time, sits low at the back. I need to order some new rear springs but not sure what spec or length I should get, can you help?

The front springs are 16mm diameter and approx 290mm long when on the motor unladen.
The rear springs are 15mm diameter and approx 280mm installed and unladen.

Its possible the rear axle is non standard as the engine is a disco 200tdi and the rear brakes are disc's. It was that way when I bought it. The rear spring cups sit directly on top of the axle.

Does that give you enough info to be able to help please?

I have recently purchased Britpart springs for mine as I didn't want it lifting or HD (rock hard ride) springs fitting. All depends on your own personal preference.

£15.24 for front springs and £16 for rears.

If your rear axle has drum brakes then you have the original axle fitted if it's got disks then it's probably the one off the disco, but the springs will be the same.

Thanks Marmaduke. Are the fronts longer than the rears?

Problem I have is I don't know if the front has a lift or not.

If you don't know what you have got, then get all 4 springs new and then you will be right. I like standard rover and gas shocks.

I had that problem when trying to replace old originals with STD britpart, in the end I had to replace all 4 to get her sitting even, and then I fitted a roof rack which repeated the problem so another set of medium duty springs needed installed, but she looks good now after all that.
