What should I look for at this price?

USED LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 2.5 Td5 ES 5 seat Auto Leigh-On-Sea Essex


This seems to be a lot of car for the money but I am getting conflicting feedback about the price. Couple of people I have asked seem to think it is far too dear despite the low milage and good condition. At this sort of money is an RAC check worthwhile or is it just too expensive from the outset? Haven't test driven it yet but noticed a bit of rust on the front under the bonnet and some sand in one of the fog lights? Interior very clean. At almost 8k there does seem to tbe a lot of choice and is there anything about this that screams "walk away" and get a lot more for your money?

hello me personally that is alot of money for a discovery 2 but most importantly i wouldnt buy from any of them dealers down there iv heard some real horror storys about the car fronts down there my neigbourgh brought a l200 from one of them the top end went after 3 weeks of owner ship they bodged it up after fighting with them to pay for it then a month later the bottom end went dont get me wrong you cant tar them all with the same brush but do be aware cheers mike

well with sand in fog light rust under bonnet bet the arse end of chassis is as rotten as a pear

I would remember that Disco 2 bodywork always looks good, so have a good peek around the back under the car to see how that's holding up. Even if that looks okay, and it's otherwise okay then I agree with those that say that the price is too high.

Looks like a nice car from the photos, but it would, seeing that the garage take the photos.

Thanks all for the input. Looks like it isn't worth taking any further. Just too expensive . Essex is way overpriced for cars which was why I ended up going out of county for my 90.
