Got annoyed with it when starter wouldnt work again, at least no blown fuses this time, ordered new ignition switch.
Cant be anything else in the circuit, its had a noo starter and relay, wirings all fine and dandy.

I think my landy is on its period, today its decided to break a front suspension turret.

Its on a course to bankrupt me this month I think. :( Dont suppose anyone has some turrets.... or a whole new landy? ;)

Discussed rusty body mounts with the MOT man

He doesn't like them :(

But he can replace them :D which sounds like a good idea.

rear outrigger?

Mine has gone, got a replacement just need a welder to fit it. I got it through the MOT by wrapping some galvanised plastic around it ;) If they can't see it, they dont test it :D

But i did with the intention of replacing it anyway :)

Took mine for a spin to get some coal and then started fitting the webasto diesel heater until it started ****ing down. I'm just having a brew and then will bugger off back outside to lay in the rain and bolt it down. :(

The previous owner of my series deserves to have his house burned down and someone rape his cat

He's only gone and welded on the bulkhead outrigger squint so I've had to modify the bastard with some packing plates to get it near ish to the right position so my door shuts right. That and he's welded the footwell to the bulkhead chassis support!
Not to mention the fact that the recovery eye he welded on snapped off when I hit it with a small hammer.....

Decided I'm going to find a good second hand chassis at some point during the year and then transfer all the bits over after reinforcing it with some extra plates

Well I fitted body side hinge bolts to the bottom drivers door hinge - Will do all the rest tomorrow with the heated wing mirrors.....

Did the trim over the safari door and fitted 2 6" speakers into it then did the roof lining then fitted two speakers in the front.....

There's not enough clearance between the speaker on the wiper pod and the motor so had to order a speaker spacer but used 4 nuts just for now.

I removed the radius arm bushes.
Removed one bush from the panhard rod yet to get the other out what a fecker of a job, i cut two....yes two slots with hack saw and i still need to peel the outer sleeve out like an orange skin, i'll start hitting with the hammer n chisle again in bout an hour and a half when the neibours are up.

Oh yes and i have a nice blood blister to go with a few hours of hammering....lol

Thought my strength was leaving me, big effort to turn the steering wheel. Went down to my local Landy guy. He recons steering pump is on the way out. He has one laying around, will try that one before buying a new one.

going to the garage throw 100 quids of petrol .only two weeks then lpg any body used the crowd at leyland its about 10 years ago since l had lpg on a rangie

Fitted the new transfer box, now I can hear the radio! (Thanks James Martin, works a treat)

Took her for a test run along a really gentle green lane. Part way along I heard a horrible noise that seemed to be coming from the front. It sounded like something was knackered in the diff. Got out and crawled around in the mud and wet, nothing looked out of place. Headed home and as I picked up speed it became clear I wasn't going to make it. Got out and checked everything up front then wondered around the back, the exhaust was dragging on the ground. It had fallen off the crossmember bracket.

If only all my land rover problems were so easily fixed :)

Helped a mate collect his recent purchase, a s3 109, ill not go on about the details, hes gonna start his own resto/build thread, just thought id share ;)
