Picked up a pair of these headlight bulbs everyone has been raving about and fitted them today. Replaced a front indicator that was rotten and had been wired in by a chimp. Adjusted the alternator belt that was so loose it was in danger of falling off. Tried to replace the front mudflaps as one had fallen off completely and the other was about to. Got one fitted without a hitch - but managed to snap off both bolts holding the drivers side one on. Came in for a cup of tea then - couldn't face trying to drill them out in the cold and wet.

Tightened up my lightbar on the bumper, stop the pesky lights dropping down, need to sort my bearings as soon as my Socket comes and I get back from Oxford, gotta pick an 'orse up tomorrow hope my bearings stay in good nick

Just replaced the headlamp bowls with some new bulbs on the green RRC. Passed its MOT end of August but realised they were not that bright. Could spot some corrosion inside lifting off the reflective surfaces. After getting the rusty bolts off and removing the light guards, taking the grill off, I realised just how bad the bowls were.......one crumbled away to rusty dust!
...new replacements have clear front glass, fancy reflector bowl.....WOW! transformation, the headlights now actually light the road ahead!...result :)

I have a set of clear lensed 'E' marked headlights on order at the moment. As soon as they arrive I can fit both the lights and my uprated bulbs.

I carried some coal from the back of mine over to my house today.

finished taking my toys off the old girl, anything i can transplant to the disco anyway, ready to hopefully sell her tomorrow morning.

and thanks to jp i have some room in the garage to store said toys now :D

Deflated my tyre and drove over it with a standard Disco to push it off the bead so i could clean all the crap out of it that had caused it to deflate on the greening laning day.
Put some tiger seal round it and pump it back up. No more leaks, lets hope i never get a puncher on it.

Also discovered blocked sunroof drains and a crap seal on a alpine light were causing my water ingress:

Then later fitted 2" lifting blocks to mates Disco. All in all a busy and productive Sunday.

could you do me a favour? when you've fitted the snorkel, could you *please* send me a copy of the fitting instructions???

I have the actual snorkel fitted to my vehicle, but nothing else. No tubes, no clips, no airbox, nothing.

I'd like to look at the fitting instructions to give me an idea for what I could knock up myself...

Hate to tell ya this, but those Britpart springs will sag in next to no time - even quicker if you have a winch fitted.
Invest in a set of Bearmach HD springs and save yourself the heartache....
